About Us

The trusted source for holiday home owners and global investors.

Since 2010, Holiday Home Times has been the publication of record for people who buy, own, rent, and invest in property beyond their primary residence — across more than sixty destinations worldwide.

Where it began

Holiday Home Times grew out of a syndicated weekly column written by founder Roshan D'Silva for the Property Times — a guide for buyers navigating second home and investment property markets across Asia and the Gulf. Readers began writing in with questions that were too detailed and too consequential for a weekly newspaper slot to answer properly.

In 2010, Roshan launched Holiday Home Times as a dedicated publication: editorially independent, free of developer and agency sponsorship, and focused exclusively on the interests of the buyer. That commitment has not changed.

What we do

We publish independent editorial on second home buying, holiday rental strategy, property investment, citizenship and residency by investment, and international tax planning. Our journalists are specialists, not generalists — each covering a single beat across a global patch, from the same desk, over years.

We also run investment tours, curated property showcases, and live webinars — giving buyers the direct access to markets, developers, and local expertise that no amount of reading can fully replace.

Independence & Standards

Holiday Home Times is editorially independent. We accept no payment for editorial coverage, no developer-funded advertorial, and no affiliate fees from the properties, funds, or programmes we write about. Our editorial standards, conflict-of-interest policy, and correction process are published in full in our Trust Centre.
