Koh Samui known for its low population density and proximity to other smaller islands beautiful beaches, coral reefs and expansive island vistas is located in the Gulf of Thailand. Designed by Gary Fell of GFAB Architects and winners of the Best Architecture, 2011 Award, these 3 to 8 bedroom villas have been built into the gently sloping hillside to blend seamlessly with their natural surroundings and mountain slopes of Koh Samui. The modern Thai style Samujana Villas Koh Samui also feature western-style luxury fixtures and furniture, designer kitchens and open-plan indoor-outdoor living areas.
What we liked about these villas is the fact that each unit have been designed in such a way that the natural environs of the location remained intact with the roofs of several villas either having plants growing on them, or featuring stone gardens, or reflecting pools, which not only keep the villas cooler, but also enhance the look and feel of the villas.
Being constructed in two phases, some villas have already been completed and handed over to their owners. Villas in the second phase which are located higher on the hillside, providing unobstructed sea views are currently available for buyers.
The phase two comprising eight villas of different sizes is scheduled to be completed in the last quarter of 2013.
