The recent achievement of Bluepoint Developments Co. Ltd. of winning two prestigious awards at The Asia Pacific Property Awards 2012, brings us to its boutique condominium project in Patong overlooking the Patong Beach and the Andaman Sea and located in one of the last available sea view plots on Phuket’s western coastline.

KJETIL HORGEN OEISETH (Director): Norwegian Kjetil Horgen Oeiseth was born in Oslo in 1962. Kjetil has held several positions within the shipping and logistics industry. After a20‐year stint in the Far East, he decided to venture to the South-east Asian region where he fell in love with Phuket Island and ultimately where Bluepoint Condominiums became his investment venture together with Arnfinn Engeset in 2005.
HALLVAR THORESEN (Shareholder and Partner): From Oslo, Norway Thoresen was born in 1957 and is the son of Norwegian football legend Gunnar Thoresen. He has devoted his life to Norway’s football industry and spent his first 12 years as a professional player for Twente FC in the Netherlands and after winning the Dutch cup in 1977 Holland’s giants PSV Eindhoven bought him for their club. He has capped 50 games for the Norwegian National team, most of them as the captain.
ROLAND BLESZYNSKI (Development Manager): He is the Managing Director of Abode Development Co. Ltd. and is engaged as Development Manager on behalf of Bluepoint Condominiums. He has been working in the Phuket luxury real estate market developing luxury villas, hotels, resorts and condominiums for international investors for the past decade.
ABOUT BLUEPOINT CONDOMINIUMS
The Bluepoint Condos development comprises a total of 20 freehold and leasehold condominiums of one, two and three bedrooms. The property is surrounded by beaches including the quiet southern tip of Patong, the tranquil Tri Trang, and Paradise and Freedom beaches. All units have a variation of private rooftop gardens and are located at the southern headland of Patong, in one of the last developments on the prime western coastline of Thailand’s largest destination island, Phuket. The Bluepoint Condos are positioned slightly away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to be in the heart of the action in a 5-minute drive.
This low-rise luxury residential condominium development of condos is located in three buildings on three levels which also have penthouses with the option of a roof top terrace and private Jacuzzi. The condominiums are being designed by internationally renowned architect Paul Raff whose firm the Paul Raff Studio’s reputation for excellence was first established at the outset of his career in 1992 with his award‐winning design for Toronto’s Waterfront Redevelopment. His experience includes involvement in world‐class architectural designs such as the Barcelona Olympic Redevelopment, the Chinese Vice‐President’s Estate in Shanghai, and The Cascade House in Toronto. Paul Raff Studio won the 2009 Royal Architectural Institute of Canada’s ‘Excellence Innovations In Architecture’ award for designing Bluepoint’s Louver Façade System, which was born from a simple idea to maximize landscape views while maintaining privacy for residents.
The condominiums are being sold on a freehold basis. Non-Thais may own up to 49 percent of the total condominium title in the development.
The company is offering easy construction-linked payment plans for buyers. A refundable reservation fee of THB 200,000 has to be paid upon signing of the reservation form. The amount will however be non-refundable after signing sale and purchase contact. The 25 percent Less Holding Deposit needs to be paid within 30 days from the signing of the Reservation Agreement and concurrent to signing the Condominium Sale Purchase or Leasehold Option Contract. The next 25 percent of the sale price needs to be paid upon the completion of the building foundations, while another 25 percent needs to be paid on completion of the building superstructures. Upon lock-up and delivery of the condominium unit 20 percent of the sale price needs to be paid while the last 5 percent has to be paid on the transfer of ownership or the registration of the leasehold agreement.
Condos in Bluepoint are available from THB 19.79 million to THB 21.51 million depending on their sizes and positions within the building.
