The island of Bintan is a 45 minute ferry ride from Singapore. The Alila Villas Bintan is conveniently located near the ferry terminal and will be only 20 minutes drive from the future airport that is to be built on the island.
Located beachside, the development has maintained its privacy under a canopy of trees, providing the residents with spectacular views and the feeling of seclusion. The nearby village is located on a hillside and provides an entrance to the great outdoors. You can go four-wheel driving or mountain biking, or even enjoy a game of golf at the nearby golf course.
The resort includes 52 villas, including one and two bedroom pool villas. This provides the guest with privacy whilst also being able to enjoy all the benefits of a hotel.
Owners of the two bedroom pool villas are eligible for personal use of the villa for up to 30 days a year, with the property generating a return through a lease back to the hotel for the remainder of the year.
The property also includes twelve three bedroom residences that are set on 3,000 square meters, each with direct beach access and sea views. The residences have been designed with the opportunity to rent out a part or the whole villa. Set over two levels, each level has its own private entrance, so you can rent the upper level as a two bedroom apartment whilst having your private residence below. Each residence also includes a private infinity pool and sun-deck.
The buildings are tastefully appointed, taking into account the challenges of designing for tropical weather. With cementitious floors and tiles, and interior walls that include timber cladding, glass and stone, providing a natural feel to the building. External walls mirror the natural environment with rubble walls with stone cladding and bamboo or green fencing. Internal fittings include stone or terrazzo benchtops in the kitchens, European appliances and stainless steel sinks.

PT Bukit Lagoi Villa is a subsidiary of PT Bukit Uluwatu Villa Tbk, a leading Indonesian resort development company involved in projects such as Alila Ubud and Alila Villas Uluwatu in Bali. Their developments endeavour to be both environmentally responsible and beautifully designed.
WOHA is a Singapore based architectural firm who focuses on sustainability, particularly in tropical environments. Their designs grace many cities across South East Asia, from Hainan, China to Sydney, Australia. They recently partnered with the developers to create Alila Villas Uluwatu, for which they won the 2010 Good Design Award from the Chicago Athenaeum.
