Manoj Adwani who runs the Sangleela Homestay in Delhi, speaks exclusively to Holiday Home Times on what makes his property a premium class B&B facility in the city.

Excerpts of the interview…

Tell us something about your property.
Manoj Adwani: Our homestay facility, Sangleela, is situated in Pitampura area of New Delhi which is one of the leading business and cultural hubs of the city. We are registered with the Delhi government’s Bed and Breakfast (B&B) scheme and our homestay is fitted with all the comforts that a traveler can ask for. We have two very tastefully decorated bedrooms which are air-conditioned, has luxurious king sized beds, plenty of storage space, etc. The rooms open up to a lush green park, making one’s stay in our home really an experience to remember.

Where is your property located? Are there any places of tourist interest near your property?
Manoj Adwani: The surrounding area our home is green, peaceful, and fully secured. The Pitampura area of New Delhi, where our homestay is situated, is centrally located and is in the vicinity of the major landmarks of the city, be it Connaught Place, Pragati Maidan, Dilli Haat, the Red Fort, or Raj Ghat, etc. The Metro Station is just a minute’s walk from our home, making it very convenient for guests to move around in the city.

What are the amenities you provide to your guests?
Manoj Adwani: Each of our rooms opens to an attractive sit-out lounge where our guests can relax and enjoy. Apart from being air-conditioned, the rooms have all the amenities of a modern hotel room including tea-makers, TV, safe box, etc. The rooms have attached bathrooms with water heaters, hair dryers and complimentary toiletries. Apart from crockery and cutlery, the kitchen has a refrigerator and microwave oven.  Apart from these, we provide Wifi internet, ironing board and fax services too. While breakfast is complimentary, we can also provide maid service on request. We also arrange pick-and-drops for guests, but these are paid services.

Can you share your best experience as a homestay host?
Manoj Adwani: There has been many. Each guest brings in a new perspective to one’s life. Since both I and my wife, Riya Adwani, who operate the homestay are from hospitality industry, we understand the woes of a weary traveler. It is our endeavor to make each guest’s stay in our homestay an unforgettable one.
